d’Angers Gallery is proud to hold the commemoration ceremony of Yadollah Derakhshani along with the screening of his artistic production on February 26th.

Yadollah Derakhshani was born in 1938 in the province of Semnan (Sangsar). Since the early years if his life, he was fond of painting, and later, his interest led to studying at Dar-Al-Fonoun and eventually teaching at the same school. In 1968 he was admitted as part of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Tehran University. Over the years, teaching painting and his concern for improving the quality of the artist community, resulted in nurturing and training some of the most significant contemporary artists.

Researching in various artistic fields, designing urban spaces, and participating in more than thirty solo exhibitions, are only a small portion of his activities and contributions to name a few.

His works exhibited at d’Angers Gallery are related to the various artistic activities of Master Derakhshani, which are presented through techniques such as oil paintings, watercolor, Ecoline, and Batik. By observing these works, an understanding and apprehension of his work process is reveled through the naked eye.

The Appreciation Ceremony of Master Yadollah Derakhshani will be presented by d’Angers Gallery with the presence of the artist at Taa’atr’e Shahr. The opening of the exhibition will also take place at d’Angers gallery after the ceremony. The exhibition will continue until March 8th, 2019.
